We are seeking a passionate, motivated manager who will help us raise the public profile of Caritas Australia’s work in Australia and overseas. This role is suitable for someone with experience in individual giving, retention or acquisition activities who is looking to take the next step in their career. Managerial experience is desirable.

Let’s talk about you

You will thrive as the Individual Giving Manager if you have:

  • Demonstrated success building and implementing multi-channel fundraising campaigns and direct marketing appeals, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Success in revenue and supporter growth through strategic fundraising activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, perform under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Highly developed written skills and professional communication skills, including excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a complex environment to achieve deliverables.
  • Proven applied knowledge of analytics, data and databases for supporter acquisition, engagement and retention purposes.
  • Strong team management skills, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback, be agile and drive improvements, break down silos and nurture a culture that strives for continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience with donor profiling, segmentation and supporter journeys.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Marketing, or similar).
  • Experience managing a team.

Let’s talk about your next role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Achieving annual income and supporter growth targets through the successful planning and implementation of an innovative Individual Giving program.
  • Increasing the lifetime value of individual donors through the effective management of multi-channel donor journeys and transitions between other fundraising streams when optimal.
  • Maintaining a data-driven approach for campaign decision making, with an emphasis on segmentation, donor research and data integrity, to effectively measure and report on campaign performance and improve future strategies.
  • Stakeholder and supplier management, ensuring each campaign is delivered to approved budgets, timelines and quality standards.
  • Leading and motivating an engaged team, managing performance and development, fostering innovation, proactivity and compliance with Caritas policies and procedures.
  • Developing and managing the team budgets and forecasts, ensuring good stewardship of resources and compliance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring Caritas Australia follows best practice by keeping up to date with Australian and international trends in fundraising and philanthropy and having responsibility for the development and implementation of new fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensuring all Individual Giving activity is compliant with relevant legislation and industry standards, and ensuring the team is aware of these requirements.
