You will thrive as the Program Effectiveness Coordinator if you have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent extensive international development experience particularly in the area of program management through partnership, with a strong focus on monitoring, evaluation and learning.
  • Proven track record of performance assessment and reporting in a medium to large organisation, including monitoring frameworks and plans and produce reports of high quality.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including well-developed policy and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and analysing information from various sources and preparing communications for dissemination to a wide range of audiences including the board, communities and donors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and facilitate change across multiple and cross-cultural stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and strengthening capacity of staff and partners.
  • Proven track record in supporting initiatives that promote learning, capacity strengthening and organisational change.
  • A strong commitment to the Mission of Caritas Australia, in our quest to end poverty through the full realisation of human dignity and wellbeing for all, and to the Catholic Social Teaching principles which underpin our work globally.

Let’s talk about your next role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Work with relevant staff to ensure project level monitoring and evaluation frameworks are aligned with and feeding into the Caritas Australia framework, performance and outcomes reporting mechanisms.
  • Coordinate the ongoing improvement and development of the International Program Team’s DMEL processes in order to continually improve program quality, data collection, reporting and analysis for evidence-based performance and outcomes reporting.
  • Support effective reporting and accountability to internal and external stakeholders, including working with the Communications Team, in the development of Caritas Australia’s Annual Report and other related materials for stakeholders.
  • Review, consolidate and analyse data from programs across Asia, Africa, Pacific and First Australia to support both internal and external reporting processes.
  • Coordinate the implementation of recommendations from the Accompaniment and Localisation study, which includes development of Caritas Australia’s localisation framework.
  • Explore online platforms/software and collaborate with various teams to continually improve data management and analysis and facilitate improved outcomes in measurement and reporting.
  • Support the planning of evaluations, where appropriate.
