You will thrive as the Program Officer if you have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of development and humanitarian program cycle processes.
  • Significant experience in the management of administrative and electronic information systems with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including experience in cross cultural communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task in a high-volume work requiring accuracy and timely delivery of outputs.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to details and ability to work within strict timelines.

Let’s talk about your next role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing program support to the Program Coordinator for development and humanitarian programs and the wider team as necessary in areas such as design, monitoring and evaluation and to ensure that documentation, information management and program accountability and compliance are managed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supporting the team prepare and maintain partnership/program documentations required to meet accountability requirements.
  • Maintaining all relevant program information ensuring accurate and up-to-date records and information are kept in accordance with Caritas Australia’s Information management systems and standards.
  • Providing general administrative and logistic support to Program Coordinators and Manager, Asia as needed.
  • Coordinating the assembly of information for the team, under the guidance of relevant Manager/s and Program Coordinators in response to internal request for information, as required for Caritas events, annual reporting, advocacy, fundraising, accreditation, surveys, external submissions, etc.
  • Working proactively and in collaboration with colleagues supporting administrative functions to the wider International Programs team for improved efficiency, including identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assisting with other duties and special projects, as required.
  • Making a difference in the lives of vulnerable people.
