What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Individual Giving Associate Director, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead appeals and activations that inspire and empower supporters to make a difference! You will be responsible for managing and inspiring a motivated Single Giving team.

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Develop and implement direct marketing strategies to achieve single income targets, driving supporter acquisition, activation, renewal, and retention to maximise lifetime value
  • Manage stewardship of mid-level donors, bequests, and Workplace Giving supporters
  • Oversee the delivery of Single Giving donation campaigns, managing internal and external stakeholders across initiatives like Matched Giving, Publications, and Swaps & Co-ops
  • Utilise data-driven insights for campaign decision-making, including segmentation, donor research, and performance analysis, to optimise strategies and improve return on investment from single giving activities
  • Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring effective resource stewardship and alignment with Caritas Australia’s goals across acquisition, retention, and renewal

This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week.

Who are we looking for?

For this role, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual, who is committed to making a difference in the world. The successful candidate will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:    

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Direct Marketing, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful campaigns, including appeals and retention activities
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail under pressure
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Proficiency in data analysis and CRM tools
