Would you like to work with and support young people and LGBTIQA+ communities to increase community awareness and understanding of eSafety and co designing tools specific for LGBTIQA+ young people?
Catalyst Foundation is looking for a person with strong connections and experience working with young people and LGBTIQA+ communities and organisations to increase community capacity to access eSafety resources tailored to LGBTIQA+ Young People through the development of a suite of online tools.
The Youth Engagement Officer will assist in all aspects of the planning and development phases of the Catalyst Foundation’s LGBTIQA+ eSafety Project funded by the Commissioner for eSafety Australia and assist in the organisation and management of all key stakeholders, project advisory committee, participation of LGBTIQA+ youth and all workshops or interviews conducted throughout the co-design process between the Catalyst Foundation, LGBTIQA+ community members, their advocates and supporters across metropolitan and regional South Australia.
The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience in working with and engaging young people and LGBTIQA+ communities, an understanding of community engagement principles and experience working with young people and fostering working partnerships with project partners and community groups and organisations.
This role is based at the Catalyst Foundation, Tynte Street North Adelaide and will involve travel within metropolitan and regional South Australia.
A Current Drivers License and a Current National Police Clearance is required and/or the successful applicant be willing to apply for clearances.
This position is a fixed term (0.2FTE) contract to 31 December 2022.
