    About the role

    The GM works as part of the Senior Leadership Team, holding responsibility for the operations of our disability and aged care portfolios, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the organisation.

    This role is responsible for leading a workforce of circa 300 staff and volunteers in the delivery of high-quality services and ensuring positive outcomes for the clients and families of CatholicCare’s Disability and Seniors programs.

    There are many facets to the role and the GM must be able to juggle many things at once – driving continual improvement of existing services based on client feedback, ensuring compliance with complex regulations and service standards, devising new programs and service offerings in response to client/participant needs, driving financial performance to ensure service viability and to support investment in innovative new programs, and guiding the team through complex operational issues as they arise, amongst other things.

    Regular travel around the Diocese of Broken Bay will be required along with the ability to be flexible with working hours to meet the reasonable demands of the position.

    Requirements

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, finance, marketing, social sciences, health or other relevant professional field.
    • Extensive experience managing large and diverse teams in the delivery of health, social or community services. Disability and/or aged care sector experience is desirable but not essential.
    • Well-developed business analysis and conceptual skills at a strategic level, with experience in project management and change management.
    • Highly collaborative partnering and negotiation skills, and the ability to gain support and cooperation from others.
    • Experience operating within a complex, dynamic and high-volume environment, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including submissions, report writing, funding grants and tender experience.
    • Working With Children Check.
    • NDIS Workers Check.
    • NSW Drivers licence
