About the role

As part of the Human Resources team within the People and Culture program, this position provides a wide range of human resources (HR) and industrial relations (IR) advice to the operational business units within CatholicCare to improve the capabilities and performance of both individuals and teams. This is a true partnership role which demonstrates exceptional customer service standards.

This is a Permanent Full-time position and Flexible Working Arrangements to work from home and the office may be considered.

Duties

  • Provide quality/timely advice to our Managers/Employees on a wide range of HR subjects across the employee life cycle;
  • Interpretation of legislation, awards and policies and their application;
  • Provide advice to managers in the resolution of team issues including performance management, grievances, investigations, role changes and remuneration reviews;
  • Provide Project Management support into a variety of strategic projects, including the implementation of a new HRIS for the organisation;
  • Encourage a proactive and positive culture within CatholicCare.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a Human Resources Management discipline
  • 5+ years experience in a HR generalist role
  • Proven experience in providing HR solutions, coaching, advice and support
  • Experience in interpreting and applying employee related legislation, awards and policy
  • Highly developed problem-solving, HR policy development and analytical skills
