About the role

Our Child Care Educators are responsible for providing a safe, interactive and fun playtime for the primary school children who attend our OSHC at St John The Baptist Primary School Woy Woy. Our Before and After School Care program is all about play based learning, excursions and engaging with the children and learning about their interesting and providing choice.

This is a permanent part time position working 10.5 hours per week.

During term time this role would be working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:30pm to 6.00pm. You would have the ability to pick up additional hours during the school holidays!

Duties

  • Assisting the Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate programs.
  • Ensuring a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices.
  • Creating a fun and engaging environment through play experiences.
  • Developing positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
  • Ability to form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues

Requirements

  • Experience with primary school aged children.
  • Working With Children Check.

Highly Desirable

  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
  • Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
