About the role

The Qualified OSHC Educator will be able to work closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care & After School Care at our Woy Woy, NSW location.

This is a maternity leave fixed term contract up to October 2025, working 35 hours per week with the potential for the position to become permanent.

During term time the role has split shifts working Monday to Friday, in the mornings from 6.30 am to 9am. Afternoon hours are 2pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. During vacation care we are open from 6:30am to 6:30pm, some of the exciting things we do include Kidchella, sand boarding and visiting animal parks.

Duties

  • Working in support of the coordinator with the efficient day to day operation of the service.
  • Regularly evaluate the program to ensure it caters for the interests, needs of school age children.
  • Ensure Compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
  • Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
  • Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development.

Requirements

  • Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Working With Children Check.

Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge of regulation relevant to Outside School Hours Care under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
  • National Criminal History Check.
  • Experience in working in Out of School Hours Care or studying towards your Bachelor of Education Primary Teaching.
  • Skills and experience in team leadership.
