About the role

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay provides Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports at Woods Cottage, based in Lindfield, Sydney. This program provides quality care and services to residents. As a Team Leader of this program, you will be responsible for developing program schedules according to our participant needs, day to day management and rostering of staff and exceptional client/stakeholder engagement. The role will include direct support with participants.

This is a Permanent Full-time position. The role will be require to participate in a rotating after hours on-call roster.

Duties

  • An ability to lead and inspire a team of Residential Support Workers.
  • A clear understanding of how to develop and achieve person-centred plan objectives for our residents.
  • Strong and clear communication skills to foster positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure client outcomes are exceeded; as well as
  • A variety of task which may include provision of personal care to our clients.

Requirements

  • Qualifications in social, health, education, or community services or related area
  • Experience working with adults with high support needs within a Residential Care setting
  • Knowledge of how to manage a staff roster
  • First Aid Certification
  • NSW Driver’s Licence
  • An understanding of NDIS would be highly desirable.
  • Completion of the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ is required. Click here to access it.
