About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join our expanding Families Division and to provide oversight of our highly regarded and innovative Family Support, Family Law and Men’s Relationship Services.

Reporting to the General Manager, Families, this role is responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of service delivery teams ensuring that the clinical workforce and support services are delivering efficient and effective service outcomes that exceed their funding objectives and contribute to CatholicCare’s strategic direction of integrated, high-quality, person-centred services that are evidence and trauma Informed.

About You

The Executive Manager role requires a business and service delivery mindset; experience in managing complex, clinical operations across multiple services; delivering and improving innovative wellbeing, health and social services (including the use of technology); an ability to build credible and effective relationships with a range of stakeholders and a genuine desire to make a difference will ensure your success in this role.

The role is a senior member of the Family Division’s Leadership and Management team(s)and will be required to work collaboratively with two other Executive Managers leading other highly regarded streams of work within the Families Division, including School Wellbeing Services and our Digital and Place Based Counselling Services.

To be a successful candidate you need to have:

  • Professional clinical and / or business management qualifications suitable for the role
  • Demonstrated understanding of family law, child protection, domestic and family violence and other relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in a service or business leadership role, managing a complex portfolio of services in family law and / or child protection
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical / practice risk management frameworks
  • Demonstrated capacity to implement a person-centred approach to service delivery
  • Applied experience in managing clinical service delivery across a range of technical platforms
  • Experience in developing and managing to operational performance targets
  • Experience developing and implementing business plans and strategies
  • Sufficient IT expertise to understand and utilise technology
  • A general understanding of social, health, education and/or disability sectors in Australia
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead, inspire and grow a diverse team of professionals and work with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a business or portfolio
  • A proactive and action driven professional attitude and approach with the ability to generate ideas, think innovatively, challenge the status quo and problem solve
  • Ability to travel

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in strategy, management, business or a related field
  • Experience designing innovative new services and funding models
  • Established network of government, industry and community stakeholders
