Practice Manager - Carer Gateway

About the Role

Commencing immediately, this exciting role will be responsible for the day-to-day co-leadership of a multidisciplinary team of Counsellors and Intake Workers focusing on supporting unpaid carers experiencing stress in their caring role. The service provides shorter-term Person-Centred and Third Wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for those who care for people with a disability, chronic health conditions, mental health concerns or who are frail aged.

Your leadership skills, together with your knowledge and experience in the delivery of high-quality, evidence informed, therapeutic services that meet the needs of carers, community and funding stakeholders will be crucial to this role. Experience in the delivery of digital services and a willingness to learn new technologies would be highly regarded. Carrying a small caseload you will use your clinical support skills to enhance the wellbeing of carers whilst supporting a passionate and professional team.

You will be joining our growing management team within the broader Families Division. The Division comprises over 200 expert Counsellors, Educators, Facilitators, Mediators and Case Workers.

About You

You identify as somebody with:

  • A passion for supporting people who are caring for others
  • Demonstrated experience in a clinical leadership role providing counselling services
  • An evidence-based approach to counselling service delivery including experience with Digital Service Delivery modalities
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills across varied stakeholder groups
  • A commitment to quality outcomes and outputs for clients and service delivery

This role requires membership of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
