Centacare Evolve Housing manages over 2,700 social and affordable housing properties state-wide and are building many new properties in response to current need. However, we are about much more than bricks and mortar - our team combines construction and effective tenancy management with a strong commitment to tenant and community wellbeing.

We are currently seeking a full time Community Projects Officer to join our community wellbeing team. It is a challenging, fast paced, and diverse role that requires an agile and deep understanding of building capacity. If you are flexible and a people person that likes to complete projects on time then we would love to hear from you.

Your Role:

  • To deliver the Inspiring Future leaders’ program and its projects in the community.
  • To support the Community Wellbeing Team in the delivery of meaningful and high-quality community wellbeing projects.
  • To ensure programs and activities are delivered with a client centred approach which prioritises client and tenant wellbeing.
  • To build strong networks and partnerships with agency, community and stakeholder.

What you bring to the role:

  • A demonstrated understanding of capacity building and working within a trauma informed framework.
  • Experience in a similar position, ideally within the community sector.
  • Communication, research, event and project management skills that lead to effective project planning and delivery.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, people person and a passion for your role.
  • A current unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Working with Vulnerable People registration (Tasmania)
