About you

You have a passion for working with young women in very vulnerable situations and the right experience to provide the advice and support they need to begin a new chapter in their lives.

Your warm and genuine personality easily gains the trust and confidence of very vulnerable women who are often experiencing extremely difficult and high stress times.

You have the desire and ability to empower women from all walks of life to take the necessary action and steps to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

About the role

Central to the role of our Pregnancy Counsellor and Case Manager is the support of young pregnant women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Working one-on-one with these vulnerable young women, you will support and counsel them through a variety of situations from acute pregnancy crisis issues to post natal depression and advocating for women experiencing domestic violence.

During your in-home client visits, you will work alongside these women to support them in the care of their baby, implementing a continuum of care approach to support women, child safety, welfare and wellbeing.

Providing group education and therapy is a key part of the role, promoting a holistic approach to parenting to meet the developmental needs of young children.

Fixed term, part-time (24hrs per week) opportunity until 30 June 2023 and based in Western Sydney. The positions may be extended pending funding arrangements.
