ROLE

Due to a recent promotion in the team, our client is seeking a General Manager Individual Giving responsible for the strategic development and oversight of appeals, regular giving, major gifts and bequests in order to grow income and help achieve their vision.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and managing 3 direct reports, you will lead the development and implementation of direct marketing campaigns to drive acquisition and retain supporters and increase donations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Head of Fundraising with the strategic development and implementation of individual giving strategies, with a key focus on appeals and bequests.
• Manage and coordinate print and digital appeals.
• Provide guidance to Head of Fundraising on database management, overseeing data outputs, systems and processes.
• Build effective systems and processes, leading best practice approach to acquisition, retention and supporter care.
• Prepare and manage budget for related activities including negotiations with contractors, consultants, suppliers and service providers.
• Manage key operational deliverables including performance targets, donor care and platform and database operability.

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Significant experience in fundraising leading an Individual Giving program.
• At least three years’ experience in managing a team.
• Experience across direct mail, preferable in the not-for-profit sector with demonstrated expertise in managing printed and digital appeals.
• Experience in database management (Raiser’s Edge preferred) Excel and reporting.
• Understanding of working with complex data set to ensure quality data and insights.
• Proven track record in strategy development to inspire lead generation, acquisition and retention of donors.
• Demonstrated financial management skills with proven experience of managing budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Project management skills and ability to deliver to timelines.
• A friendly professional nature with sense of humour who can work collaboratively.
