ORGANISATION

Our client is a cancer co-operative trials group conducting clinical trials research to improve treatments and outcomes of bladder, kidney, testicular, penile and prostate cancers.

ROLE

We are looking for a passionate Senior Marketing and Events Manager to join this small, vibrant and hardworking team.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead on driving the marketing and communications strategies to promote brand, develop and execute new campaigns and strategies whilst implementing current events to build engagement with members and the general public.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work collaboratively with the team and Communications Lead to develop and implement the marketing, communications and fundraising strategy
• Collaborate with internal management team & work with agencies where required
• Manage and work with the Partnerships and Engagement Lead to develop relationships with new and existing donors, sponsors, corporate partners and philanthropic organisations
• Manage, develop, write and produce the ANZUP consumer magazine and other publications when required
• Manage, execute and deliver ANZUP’s major fundraising events (Below the Belt Pedalthons in Sydney and Melbourne, #YourWay, etc) and work with the Communications Lead on the ANZUP Annual Scientific Meeting
• Work with CEO to cultivate relationships with sponsors, stakeholders and partners
• Work within the allocated budgets
• Provide regular activity reporting to CEO and the Board
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Relevant significant experience in a similar role ideally from not-for-profit organisation or health care industry.
• Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or related field.
• Strong stakeholder management experience.
• Exceptional communications skills with experience of producing promotional materials for all audiences.
• Events and Project management experience.
• Solutions focussed with campaign management and communications projects exp
• Demonstrated ability to juggle conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment and lead a competent team.
• Sound problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with website CMS basic skills (HTML an advantage).
• Knowledge of graphic design (Campaign Monitor, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Indesign or similar).
• An understanding of the NFP and/or healthcare sector will be highly regarded.
