Organisation

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is a member based, for purpose organisation that champions an independent and free media by providing a portfolio of programs that aim to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of over 450 community radio and media organisations.

Community radio plays a vital role in providing a voice for multicultural, First Nations and other underrepresented groups, as well as supporting independent and emerging musicians and communities not adequately serviced by other media.

The Role

Provide timely administrative, executive and personal support to the Chief Executive Officer to support the CEO’s day to day activities whilst ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as first point of contact: dealing with correspondence and phone calls on behalf of the CEO
  • Managing CEO’s diary, organising meetings and appointments
  • Coordination of all travel arrangements
  • Support in managing and drafting correspondence, presentations and reports
  • Detailed minute taking at CBAA Board and Committee meetings etc.
  • Support Company Secretary administration including coordination of CBAA AGM.

Your success profile will include:

  • Previous experience in an EA or PA role supporting executives
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience
  • Outstanding level of organisation skills; including the ability to prioritise, diary management, work to deadlines and forward planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven capability formatting /drafting correspondence /reports and professional documents
  • Proven ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to use/learn to use a range of online tools (Diligent Board portal, Salesforce, Slack, MS Office suite etc.)
