The Organisation

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is a member based, for purpose organisation that champions an independent and free media by providing a portfolio of programs that aim to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of over 450 community radio and media organisations.

Community radio plays a vital role in providing a voice for multicultural, First Nations and other underrepresented groups, as well as supporting independent and emerging musicians and communities not adequately serviced by other media.

The Role

Provides superior, proactive support and service to CBAA members, subscribers & prospective members.

Responsibilities:

  • Initial triage of enquiries.
  • Responding to all member / subscriber enquires.
  • Establish and maintain members on the CRM – Salesforce.
  • Awareness and knowledge of promotional programs and products.
  • Proactively identifying member needs.
  • Member training activities.
  • Data collection and recording.

Your success profile will include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in broadcasting and/or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional commitment to client service
  • Ability to work closely & collaboratively with colleagues and build rapport with key stakeholders
  • Understanding and familiarisation in the utilisation of a CRM - ideally Salesforce
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Eligibility to work in Australia on a permanent basis
  • Experience within not-for-profit, community-based or membership based organisations
