Counsellor / Group Worker - Wyoming and Woy Woy

CCCWHC operates from a person-centred, trauma informed and feminist perspective which recognises and identifies ways in which women’s wellbeing is specifically influenced and impacted by a broad range of social, cultural, economic and biological factors.

We are looking for an experienced generalist counsellor who is a registered member of PACFA or ACA to provide short to medium term trauma informed counselling sessions for women on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, domestic violence, sexual assault, relationships, stress, emotional health and others.

The role is based at the Wyoming Centre on Tuesdays and the Woy Woy centre on Wednesdays and Thursdays but may also be required to work from the Wyong centres at times. While the position focuses on counselling and therapeutic group work it also includes health education and social connection group support. The role also incorporates relief intake and crisis support, advocacy, resourcing, case management support, agency networking, community education and social action

The role is remunerated under the Social, Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Level 5. Salary packaging is available to eligible successful applicants.

This is permanent part-time position (19.5 hours per week) to be worked 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
