Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy and education organisation, focused on advancing climate change solutions through democracy. Our preferred solution is the Australian Climate Dividend. We have over 4,000 supporters, many active volunteers and a steadily growing number of local electorate groups across Australia.
Our mission - We exist to create the political will for climate solutions, by enabling individual breakthroughs in the exercise of personal and political power.
Our vision - to inspire Australia to become a leader in a global race addressing climate change for a liveable world.
We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with a strong commitment and passion for a liveable world, who will support our transition from a well-organised, all-volunteer organisation to one that is staffed and well-resourced.
The primary objective of the CEO is to lead the development and growth of Citizens' Climate Lobby Australia (CCLA) and deliver its vision and strategic plan through high impact advocacy and community engagement.
The CEO will work closely with, and is accountable to, the Board of Directors and will work under the supervision of the Chairperson. The CEO is responsible for assisting the Board and our Team Leaders to achieve our goals of an active chapter in every federal electorate and enabling Australia to become a leader in the global race to zero emissions.
The CEO will support organisational governance, lead organisational development, develop organisational plans and budgets, lead organisational risk management, and coordinate the teams responsible for raising the funds to meet budgeted spending, developing and managing partnerships, leading systemic advocacy and managing organisational sustainability.
This person will be a team player, sensitive to the needs of volunteers, possess a strong understanding of the environment in which CCLA operates, and be committed to the values and principles of CCL.
