Reducing the burden of cancer. Cancer Council raises funds that are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer, through research, patient care, prevention and early detection. The Campaigns and Community Engagement team delivers National, State Peer to Peer Campaigns, Third Party Beneficiaries, Fundraising Events, Community Fundraising and Community Engagement across Queensland such as Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day and Relay for Life.
As the Community Development Specialist, you will be responsible for strategically driving fundraising campaign participation, growing community engagement within your geographic region and community within campaigns such as Relay for Life, Daffodil Day and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
You will connect CCQ to aligned groups, corporate and community through building new long-term mutually beneficial relationships, promoting CCQ fundraising programs and services, resulting in meeting fundraising and community objectives and targets.
You will be working closely with the Community Engagement Coordinator in the regional office to ensure our fundraising supporters, volunteers and community engagement opportunities are front of mind, knowing you have a great broader team that supports you.

This role is Permanent Full-time (37.5 hours per week) and requires out of hours travel times.
