Children and Young People with Disability Australia (CYDA) has an exciting new opportunity for someone who is energetic and enthusiastic about supporting children and young people with disability to engage in different opportunities across Australia.

CYDA is the national representative organisation for children and young people with disability aged 0 to 25 years. Our vision is that children and young people with disability living in Australia are valued and living empowered lives with equality of opportunity; and our purpose is to ensure governments, communities, and families, are empowering children and young people with disability to fully exercise their rights and aspirations.

Position overview

Reporting to the Policy and Research Manager, the Policy Officer will prepare submissions, reports and other relevant policy and advocacy work to progress the rights of children and young people with disability. This will involve a range of activities including data analysis, desktop research, and engaging with CYDA’s members, partner organisations and stakeholders.

Work type: Fixed-term (until December 2022, with extension possible), Part-time (15.2 hours per week)

Salary: $84,854 TO $88,693 (pro rata)
