We are seeking applications for the role of Senior Lawyer to join our team.

In this role, you will provide high level legal advice and representation to native title claimants and Prescribed Bodies Corporate in relation to general native title matters, heritage, mining matters, land tenure and acquisition, compensation claims and corporate governance matters. You will also assist the Principal Lawyer and provide mentorship and supervision to members within the legal team.

The successful person will have:

  • appropriate legal qualifications and a minimum of five years post admission experience;
  • experience in relating to and receiving instructions from Aboriginal people;
  • excellent written, inter-personal and facilitation skills;
  • high-level time management and organisational skills;
  • proven ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • proven ability to coach and mentor less senior team members;
  • an ability to travel to remote locations on a regular basis; and
  • a current manual drivers licence, preferably with 4WD experience.
