The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

We are currently seeking a suitable qualified candidate for the following position:

Communications Officer - ME002 - Alice Springs

CL 5 - CL 6 (Commencing at $71,156 progressing to $88,283)

This position will allow you to use your journalistic, desktop publishing, web and online skills to produce and distribute fast and accurate stories for publication on multiple platforms, media releases, briefing notes, advertisements and other material to inform constituents, staff, media about the activities, achievements, rights and interests of the Central Land Council and its constituents. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in journalism, broadcasting, public relations/marketing, web or desktop publishing or a related discipline.
