The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.
The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

CL 5 - CL 6 (Commencing at $71,156 progressing to $88,283) Fixed term contract to 31 March 2024
This position is based in Alice Springs with weekly travel to Finke community, you will coordinate, supervise and support the development and engagement of the Ranger team within this area. The coordinator will work with the rangers, traditional owners, the broader Community and other stakeholders in implementing a wide range of identified natural and cultural resource management actions in the region. The successful applicant will have relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated professional competence in ecology, natural resource management or related fields and have demonstrated experience in the effective coordination and supervision of small teams. Strong cross-cultural awareness, good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people is essential. Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
