The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

We are currently seeking a suitable qualified candidate for the following position: Ranger Group Coordinator - Tennant Creek - RGG00.

CL 5 - CL 6 (Commencing at $72,508 progressing to $89,960) Fixed term contract to 31 March 2024

This position is based in Tennant Creek, you will coordinate, supervise and support the development and engagement of the Ranger team within the area. The coordinator will work with the rangers, traditional owners, the broader Community and other stakeholders in implementing a wide range of identified natural and cultural resource management actions in the region. The successful applicant will have relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated professional competence in ecology, natural resource management or related fields and have demonstrated experience in the effective coordination and supervision of small teams. Strong cross-cultural awareness, good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people is essential.   • Subsidised accommodation for the duration of your contract while living in Tennant Creek.

  • Driver's licence

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
