The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.
The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

We are currently seeking a suitable qualified candidate for the following position:
RESEARCH ASSISTANT - NATIVE TITLE - NT003 - ALICE SPRINGS.
CL 4 - CL 5 (Commencing at $63,794 progressing to $75,452).
This position is primarily responsible for undertaking desktop research in support of Native title claims and related matters, assist consultants and staff anthropologists with Native Title claim research and prepare and lodge Native Title claim materials into a claim specific database. You will also be required to provide operational and logistical support to CLC staff and consultants in Native Title related fieldwork. The successful candidate will have qualifications in Anthropology or a related social science discipline. Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
