The CEnvP Scheme was established in 2004 to ensure experienced, skilled and ethical environmental professionals are given due recognition in line with their professional counterparts from engineering, accounting, planning and architecture.
As the environment industry matures and the community is demanding greater environmental accountability from industry and government, environmental practitioners are realising the importance of the community being able to clearly recognise the education, training and experience level of the environmental practitioners with which they work.
The Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) Scheme assesses environmental and social professionals in competency criteria of training, experience, professional conduct and ethical behaviour. The Scheme provides industry-wide certification and specialisations across Australia and New Zealand.
CEnvP assists in improving environmental practice and outcomes by requiring practitioners have reached a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct.
CEnvP works with environmental professional associations (EIANZ, ALGA, WasteMINZ, IAIA), government agencies and companies. The organisation has a wide network of dedicated staff and volunteers working for better practice in the environmental industries.
