The Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation is an independent entity, raising funds for local health and medical research across Tasmania. Since establishment, the Foundation has invested over $9.5m in funding for research into diseases and disorders which impact the health and wellbeing of Tasmanians. The CEO will lead a small team of talented professionals in carrying out the important work of the Foundation. A key focus of the role will include initiating and managing fundraising activities and associated elements of marketing and communications to assist the profile and positioning of the Foundation within the Tasmanian community. The CEO will lead stakeholder engagement and business development to ensure partnerships and donor contributions are sustained and continue to grow to achieve the strategic objectives of the Foundation.

The successful applicant will be a creative and innovative thinker with proven leadership experience and demonstrated success in achieving results in a hands-on operational role. The ability to oversee the organisation’s financial management, budgeting and reporting requirements together with high-level marketing, public relations and communication skills are also required. Exceptional communication, presentation and organisational skills are essential, and an understanding of philanthropy would be an advantage.
