We’re Australia’s largest and fastest growing electric vehicle (EV) charging network, we’re Australian owned and operated, and we’re committed to making charging simple, affordable and fast for all Aussies because simpler charging means more EVs on the road, and that’s a very good thing. Who we’re looking for

In this role you’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and be responsible for providing accounting and financial support through timely reporting, reconciliations, accounts receivable & payable, as well as other administrative tasks.

The role is available on a 12 month fixed contract basis, and it is possible that the role will move to a permanent position. We are open to the structure of hours for this role but we anticipate it can accommodate around 3 to 5 days per week with a flexible work schedule eg. you could work 3 full days, or 4 or 5 shorter days every week.

This role is ideal for someone with solid financial accounting experience, an interest in supporting and streamlining processes and someone who thrives in a fast-paced high growth environment.

What you’ll be involved in:

• Managing the customer billing process to ensure timely invoicing, revenue collection and debtor accounts
• Working with the Operations Team to manage billing escalations
• All accounts payable related activities including timely processing of invoices, set up of new vendor accounts, weekly batch payment runs and expense reimbursements
• Bank and credit card reconciliations including FX transactions
• Compliance with internal processes and procedures and contribute to process improvements
• Identify and help implement process improvements by identifying risks, opportunities and potentially issues that need to be escalated
• Participating in the month-end close process including balance sheet reconciliations and assistance with monthly financial reports
• Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register
• Assist with payroll related tasks including, superannuation, payroll tax, workcover
• Assist with the compliance program (audit, income tax returns, BAS/IAS)
• Assisting in ad-hoc projects and answering enquiries as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 3+ years experience in accounting / financial roles with a strong understanding of transactional processing, accounts payable and month end processes
• A genuine passion for numbers and demonstrate a commitment to continuous process improvement
• Have experience in working with spreadsheets, accounting packages and credit card processing systems, in particular experience with Google Suite, MS Office, Xero and Divipay will be advantageous
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in sustainable energy and the electric vehicle industry and technology
• A high level of agility and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
• Exceptional standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
