Director of Grants and Impact

Children's Hospital Foundation

The Children’s Hospital Foundation works wonders for sick kids at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, all over Queensland and northern New South Wales. We fund life-saving medical research, invest in new equipment, and provide entertainment, family support and care programs for sick kids. Our volunteers support children in hospital, helping them to laugh and smile, get better and go home with their families. We depend very much on the generosity of our partners and supporters and with their help, we are able to fund research and clinical care to achieve faster diagnoses, better treatments and ultimately cures for some of the most devastating childhood illnesses and injuries.

The Director of Grants and Impact role will form a critical part of the Executive team, working closely with the CEO and Board on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to Research, Grants, Impact reporting, our State-wide strategy, and the overall ambitions of the Foundation.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Grants and Impact is responsible for leading a small but critical team across the Foundation’s granting activities, developing a collaborative performance culture internally and externally, to deliver significant outcomes for Queensland’s sickest kids.

They will drive the successful development and implementation of the Foundation’s Grants strategy, including our State-wide strategy which relates to the organisation’s activities in regional and rural areas throughout Queensland.

In addition, you will lead the development and implementation of a new framework for impact reporting for current and future investments that will help the Foundation provide engaging information to internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time, permanent role that will be based in South Brisbane.

Who are you?

The successful applicant will have proven experience as an effective executive leader within a professional business environment along with a strong technical understanding of the Medical Research and Health landscape. The ability to connect, engage, influence, and collaborate within a complex stakeholder environment and multiple institutional partners is essential and will assist the Foundation in achieving its strategic research and funding priorities.
