The Position

We are looking for creative and passionate team players to provide a positive, safe and supportive environment for young people aged 10 to 24 accessing Cockburn Youth Services Programs. Your role will be to facilitate and supervise all young people aged 10 to 24 participating in group programs and activities primarily at the Cockburn Youth Centre, but also City of Cockburn youth programs operating in the wider community. Successful applicants will join a recruitment pool to be considered for casual hours commencing in January 2022.  

Applicants must have:

  • Relevant post-secondary qualifications or progress toward completion e.g. Youth Studies, Youth Work, Social Work.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with at risk young people, including those from Aboriginal backgrounds, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, young people with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation and evaluation for young people.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current youth issues and trends.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and computer skills
  • Experience in supervising groups of young people on activities
  • Must have National Police Clearance, Working with Children Clearance, Drivers Licence and Provide First Aid.

Salary: $40.68 per hour, inclusive of casual loading.
