about the role

We currently have a new opportunity for someone to join the Environment, Climate and Waste team as a Service Support Officer. The successful applicant will play a key role as part of the Climate change and Environment team, by assisting and managing the delivery of key projects, programs and strategies ensuring positive environmental and sustainable outcomes for the community are achieved.

about you

The successful applicant will maintain oversight and delivery of the City of Darwin Pre-Cyclone Clean Up program in conjunction with the Senior Coordinator City maintenance, and plan prepare and deliver community-based engagement and education programs including but not limited to the Gardens for Wildlife program.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to assist in the delivery of environmental projects as outlined in the City of Darwin and adopted waste and environmental strategies.

The applicant must manage and monitor programs budgets and participate and assist in tender preparation, assessment, and selection

To be consider for this role, you will have a:

  • Certificate IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent qualification and/or minimum three (3) years' experience in a similar role with understanding of sustainability and environmental issues
  • National Police Records Check
  • General Construction Industry - White Card
  • Working with Children's Clearance
  • Possession of a Class C Drivers Licence.
