    Permanent Part Time  – 22.8 hours per week (Flexible)

    Band 6 - $88,405.57 - $96,243.93 (pro rata) + super

    Do you have strong social research and analysis skills? Can you turn research into action? Yarra City Council is looking for a self-motivated person for the position of Social Research and Projects Officer to work within the Social Strategy Unit.

    In addition to undertaking social research, qualitative and quantitative data analysis and community needs profiling, you will work closely in supporting the project management of a diversity of portfolios. Based on research, you will provide advice and recommendations to influence strategic planning, decision-making and investment in services and community infrastructure. The work of the Branch is strongly influenced by evidence-based and social determinants approaches and focuses on building connections, sustaining stakeholder relationships and integrating best-practice responses.

    To apply, you’ll need tertiary qualifications in the social sciences or a related field and a proven track record in applied research, project management and evaluation in a local government or comparable context.
