Working hours: Our working hours are flexible but depending on your location/time zone we envisage a 50 percent “overlap” with Philippine Standard Time (PST). We work 8 hours per day with core hours of 10am-4pm PST, Mondays to Fridays.
Contract: If you are based outside our HQ (outside of the Philippines), the contract will be tailored to the circumstances and likely be in the form of a consultancy/freelance contract
Remuneration: Competitive
Travel: Some project-related travel to Asia may be required once it is possible to safely do so.
Clean Air Asia is an international non-governmental organisation leading the regional mission for better air quality, and healthier, more liveable cities throughout Asia. Our mission is to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in Asia and contribute to the development of a more sustainable, equitable and healthier region. We empower governments and cities by inspiring action and focusing efforts on the planning and implementation of solutions at scale, fostering regional cooperation to address issues of mutual concern, and ensuring the integration of air quality management across sectors and institutions.
We have offices in the Philippines (Headquarter) and in China and India. Furthermore, we have country networks across Asia.
We are recruiting for a full time Communications and Marketing manager to join our dynamic team at Clean Air Asia. You will be joining us at an exciting time where we have developed our new organisational communications strategy, a strategy that you will be responsible for both implementing but also refining and adjusting. Our work environment is flexible, fast paced, international, multicultural and a mix between “working from home arrangements” (from anywhere in the world), to hybrid working (in case you are close to one of our offices). You will manage a Communications Assistant and work alongside dedicated country communications staff in China and India.
The role will involve working with individual staff, teams and working groups within the organisation, as well as with key external stakeholders. As we are expanding our initiatives, we also envision significant involvement in and development of our marketing efforts.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual who can both strategise and implement, with experience and skills in communications/marketing/PR, and ideally also web content management. In addition to your communications experience and skills, your English proficiency must be impeccable.
To lead the planning, development, implementation and marketing of Clean Air Asia’s communications strategy, work, and outreach in line with the organisational mission, vision and values, ensuring that Clean Air Asia has a credible voice and brand in the international community, for donors, the general public and partners. And to ensure that our communications and marketing resources are allocated and used to achieve the greatest impact.

The selected candidate will be appointed under a fixed-term contract initially for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The base monthly remuneration is competitive and can vary subject to the candidate’s professional qualifications and work experience. The remuneration is paid either in USD or PHP.

In 2008, Clean Air Asia became a United Nations-recognised partnership comprised of more than 250 organisations in Asia and internationally, with six Country Networks (Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam).
