Clota Cottage Neighbourhood House in Box Hill is a not for profit community-based organisation governed by a voluntary committee. For 35 years Clota Cottage Neighbourhood House has strengthened community connections through provision of quality, affordable and inclusive programs and activities, including, skills training, job readiness, lifestyle and social activities. As a Learn Local provider, Clota Cottage delivers Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) pre-accredited training, as well as Fee for Service classes and community activities.

Position Objectives

  • To develop and implement a range of programs that support adult learning, participation and socialisation including skills training, lifestyle programs and social activities.
  • To ensure programs are delivered effectively and efficiently and meet compliance requirements.
  • To work with tutors and facilitators to ensure successful implementation, delivery reporting and review of programs.
  • To process new enquiries, liaise with students and referral organisations and provide relevant information and resources.
  • To coordinate student management processes, maintain student files, records, and certification.
  • To develop new programs that attract new participants and respond to changing community needs.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Qualifications and/or significant experience in Adult Education, Training and Assessment, Community Development, Community Services or other relevant related field.
  • Considerable experience in a similar community focused role with the ability to plan, research, design, implement and evaluate programs within compliance and budgetary requirements.
  • Experience working collaboratively with other community organisations and government departments to co-design activities and programs.
  • Strong IT skills with competency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency working with a student record management system.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and coordinate workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with participants, colleagues, volunteers, service providers, and program partners 

Other Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of a Police Check
  • In line with Victorian Government requirements, the incumbent must have and maintain the necessary mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • First Aid certificate
