Support Worker - Old Reynella

Community Living Project Inc.

Do you appreciate classic cars or have an interest in collecting things? Do you enjoy travel and other cultures?

I am looking for the right person to assist me for approximately 10 hours per week to pursue my interests and be a role model for developing my social connections.

Workday tasks will relate to facilitating my role as an Electronic Recycling Australia employee and supporting me in managing my home. My love of collecting things is important to me and I want to be supported in doing this in a safe and productive manner.

I have a great sense of humour and am master of the one liner. I am inquisitive and have an interest in learning about different countries. I’d like to plan a holiday to New Zealand. I enjoy a wide range of music, YouTube videos, often about cars, and binging TV series.

You will be patient, have strong social skills and an appreciation for the complexity of human behaviour, be organised, practical, reliable, motivating and enthusiastic. As a Worker you will work closely with my Key Worker, family and other workers to deliver services in line with my vision for a good life. Having prior support work experience with complex needs is preferred but not required.

Tuesday or Thursday evening and a weekend shift, are key times I need to fill, in addition to you having good availability to fill in shifts across a 7-day week. You should be comfortable starting some shifts at 6:30am, and doing the occasional overnight shift.

Ongoing training and direction will be provided.

All applicants must have a valid Drivers’ License, a road worthy vehicle suitable for work purposes and have or be prepared to undertake a Current First Aid Certificate, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Applications will close end of June however I will recruit before then if I find the right person.
