Casual position Support Worker role 10-15 hours a week @ $36.40/hr Old Reynella

The right person will assist me for 10-15 hours per week as a positive role model in managing day to day tasks around my home and developing positive relationships in my community.

My love of collecting things, coins, in particular, is important to me and I want to be supported in doing this safely and productively. I am interested in veganism and enjoy eating and sometimes cooking vegan food. I have a great sense of humour and am a master of the one-liner. I am inquisitive and enjoy a wide range of music, YouTube videos, often about cars, and binging TV series.

The successful applicant will be patient, have strong social and negotiation skills, and have an appreciation for the complexity of human behaviour. They will be organised, practical, reliable, motivating and enthusiastic. This role involves working closely with family, the team leader, and the support team around me to deliver support in line with my vision for a good life.

The role is across afternoons, evenings and weekends on a fixed weekly roster. However, good availability for shifts across a 7-day week is advantageous to cover shifts if team other members are unavailable.

Hours per week will depend on availability for the following shifts:

• Tuesdays 4-7 pm
• Wednesdays 7-10 pm
• Thursdays 4-7 pm
• Fridays 4-7 pm, 7-10 pm
• Saturdays 9:30-1 pm once per month
• Sundays 1-5 pm

Ongoing training and direction will be provided.

All applicants must have a valid Drivers’ Licence, a roadworthy vehicle suitable for work purposes and have or be prepared to undertake a Current Senior First Aid Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

It is a requirement that the worker in this role needs to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
