• To provide a counselling and support service to clients
• Employee Assistance Programme counselling 
• First response crisis intervention and follow-up counselling
• Suicide Prevention Counselling

Based in Devonport Tasmania, you will be part of a professional group of staff providing counselling support in a responsive, resolution based, short-term capacity.

CLS (Choose Life Services) is a registered charity, self funded and operates in all states of Australia. CLS provides Employee Assistance Programmes to a wide range of business and industry.

Hours will be as required and has potential to develop into a permanent position. The primary tasks are:

• Provide a confidential, high quality counselling and support service
• Exercise a high degree of independent professional judgement
• Provide an on-site presence to industry as defined by contracts
• Liaise effectively with staff and clients
• Maintain staff and client confidentiality
• Exercise appropriate care in the performance of duties consistent with relevant OH&S legislation
• Maintain a high level of written and verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate and liaise with a wide range of clients in a sensitive and confidential manner
• Work with a high degree of autonomy with limited supervision
• You will be required to have a current clean drivers licence
• Working with Vulnerable People and National Police Check
