About the Role

The Senior Project Officer – Youth Leadership role will be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of an exciting new project at CMY that provides opportunities for young women from refugee and migrant backgrounds to develop their leadership and governance skills and experience. The first year of the project will be piloted in Victoria before being rolled out on a national scale in the second year. The role will include the recruitment and engagement of young women into program activities; planning and facilitation of workshops, programs and events; establishing and maintaining stakeholder partnerships; and monitoring and evaluating project activities.

The Senior Project Officer will also be responsible for the recruitment, induction, support and supervision to a number of Youth Intern positions that will assist with the delivery of the project as well as other CMY Youth Leadership projects.

  • Fixed Term: until Dec 2023
  • Base Salary (SCHADS Level 5): $84, 849 per annum, pro rata plus Super and access to Salary Packaging
  • Location: CMY Carlton Office. However due to COVID-19 restrictions, this role will require you to work from home and the CMY Carlton office. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to accommodate this. The successful candidate will participate in a comprehensive orientation and will be provisionally assigned any relevant equipment.
  • Interviews: to be held in the week beginning of Monday 16th August, 2021
