The Centre for Non-Violence (CNV) is a leading and innovative specialist Family Violence organisation based in the Loddon area, with a vision of gender and social equality for all. CNV is an inclusive child safe organisation, committed to achieving diversity in our service response and workforce.

We currently have an opportunity for a well experienced and passionate Team Leader to join CNV and work within the Bendigo Orange Door site.

Teams in the Orange Door are multi-disciplinary and this full-time role will provide day to day oversight and work allocation for the Men’s Family Violence Services team whilst also providing specialist family violence supervision for the CNV staff located at the Orange Door.

To be considered for this position you will have

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in social work, community services and/or a related field. A Social Work degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience in supervising, leading and mentoring staff in a community services field with demonstrated experience to problem solve, encourage and influence change within a team and the ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor staff.
  • At least two years’ experience in a family violence or related role.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of family violence and child safety and wellbeing in accordance with service philosophies
  • Extensive experience in providing case work to individuals and/or families experiencing complex needs and risk issues including a sound knowledge of referral pathways.
