NDIS Support Coordinator - Latrobe Valley / Bass Coast

CoAbility
  • Rewarding role in a leading independent service provider
  • Collaborative, highly supportive remote team
  • Ongoing training and development

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

CoAbility is a leading independent NDIS Support Coordination provider in Victoria.

We are a family-run, values-based organisation. Our team of over 65 passionate Support Coordinators and Specialist Support Coordinators are committed to delivering person-centred support and outcomes that make an invaluable impact on the lives of the people we serve.

The key to our success is our ability to make navigating the NDIS as stress-free as possible. By encouraging our clients to exercise their choice and control at every opportunity and our diligence in putting our clients first, we are able to create a truly tailored service achieving positive outcomes and reaching goals.

Importantly, in the current world environment, we have successfully set our team up as a fully remote workforce. Our team has always worked from home, only travelling to attend client meetings. This has transitioned to conducting all client and provider meetings remotely for the time being.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to a substantial increase in our customer base, we are looking for suitably qualified Support Coordinators across the Gippsland Region. The role focuses on addressing challenges, connecting with supports, building capacity and resilience, and achieving the goals outlined in the participant's NDIS plan.

The successful applicant will bring solid experience in the community services environment. In particular, they will bring support coordination skills and stakeholder engagement ability and demonstrate an understanding of how best to access and maintain services for participants living with disabilities. This experience will be complemented by excellent report writing skills and a keen and dedicated commitment to supporting and improving outcomes for the people we serve.

You will work with participants, their informal support networks, and collaborate with community partner organisations in order to achieve the participant's goals.

Participants will already have their NDIS funding plan in place; it will be your job to interpret the plan and work with participants to progress them towards their life goals.

YOU WILL HAVE

  • Appropriate insurances
  • Excellent people skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit remote team

  • Creative and innovative "out-of-the-box' thinking

  • The ability to take a coaching approach with your participants to build their capacity in managing their own NDIS journey
  • The ability to deliver high-quality services in a timely manner
  • The ability to complete high-level mandatory reporting to the NDIS
  • A willingness to network and build the profile of CoAbility as a Support Coordination service provider
