Community Arts Network (CAN) is seeking expressions of interest from prospective project coordinators to work on the flagship Place Names Project.

Building on Professor Len Collard’s well-established research, Place Names works closely with communities to explore the Noongar language origins of town and place names using a variety of contemporary art forms that reflect language, place and identity.

CAN has produced Place Names projects in Moora, Katanning, Albany, Langford and Fremantle. The next iteration of the project is due to occur within the Perth Metropolitan area.

Working collaboratively within the CAN team and reporting to the General Manager and Program Manager, the Place Names Project Coordinator will manage the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the project in a designated community.
