The Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA NSW) is the peak body for community housing providers in NSW. We represent nearly 100 members across the State, who collectively own and/or manage around 51,000 properties - the largest community housing sector in Australia.
CHIA NSW works with its members to build a sustainable and growing community housing sector that is focused on delivering great outcomes for our tenants and the communities in which they live.
Our members provide social and affordable housing to individuals and families throughout NSW.
The Media and Communications Adviser will play a key role in implementing CHIA NSW’s Communications and Advocacy Strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Policy, the Adviser will be responsible for supporting the CEO as media spokesperson for CHIA NSW and working with CHIA NSW’s internal teams and external advisers to enhance our profile and respond to and create positive media opportunities.
The Adviser will also play a key role in engaging with CHIA NSW members and coordinating media campaigns and activities across the membership.

Experience in a not-for-profit or peak body is not essential but will be well regarded.
This is a full-time, permanent appointment, based in Sydney.
