WHO WE ARE?

Community Learning Centre is a community-based not-for-profit organisation. We are a proud part of the Neighbourhood House Sector and Knox Learning Alliance.

We are located within the Rowville Community Centre located at 40 Fulham Road Rowville, in the City of Knox, near Stud Park shops.

Community Learning Centre (CLC) was established in 1995 to offer alternative learning opportunities for adults and children. Since those early days (CLC) has grown both physically and in the range of programs offered.

(CLC) offers a range of programs including adult education, hobby, and leisure programs, including social groups.

THE POSITION

As the manager, you will be responsible for implementing Community Learning Centre’s strategic plan in line with the organisation's guiding principles and mission. This role requires proven leadership skills, creative thinking, and a passion for community development.

In collaboration with our enthusiastic team, you will lead the organisation in developing and overseeing programs and services that achieve our vision for a strong and vibrant community.

Key selection criteria (to be addressed in application)

• The capacity for collaborative leadership and management of staff and volunteers
• High level administrative, organisational, and negotiation skills
• Command of community development principles and practice, preferably in a Neighbourhood House environment
• The ability to represent, and advocate for the organisation and the community in a highly professional manner
• The ability to identify community needs and to plan, develop, monitor, and evaluate high-quality programs to meet those needs.
• The ability to oversee, and be accountable for, the compliant and successful operation of the ACFE operations
• Capacity to work effectively with and resource a volunteer Committee of Management
• The ability to fit into a well-working team
