The QSTARS program is managed by Tenants Queensland (TQ) and delivered in collaboration with partner organisations across Queensland.
The Community Plus QSTARS Tenant Advice Worker plays a critical role in the delivery of expert, accurate and consistent tenancy advice to residential renters.
You will be a part of the Brisbane team, based in Yeronga. You’ll be empowering and supporting tenants and residents by providing advice regarding tenancy law related issues by appropriately working on client referrals from the QSTARS Hub.
With a commitment to the principles of social justice, you will support Community plus delivery of the QSTARS program by role modelling our values of empowering others and staying connected.
You are a committed learner and will acquire specialist knowledge of The Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 through a structured training program. The ability to relate to people from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds is essential and a TAFE level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as social work or human services and previous experience working in the Social Welfare or other community related sector would be highly regarded.
You will be a team player, you’ll have highly developed verbal and written communication skills and bring a can-do attitude. You’ll have the ability to work in a high functioning environment to successfully achieve program outcomes and outputs.
