ABOUT YOU…

You will be self-driven and able to work independently, with strong commitment to human rights and person-centred approaches. You will be familiar with supporting people with a disability and/or complex needs, their family and support teams to assist them to achieve their goals. You will be an excellent team member and communicator, able to write reports and plans, to record billable hours and navigate online work environments, and to work effectively as part of a multi/inter-disciplinary team to provide a holistic approach to high quality positive behaviour and therapeutic supports.

To be successful in this role a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy, Disability, Education, or Social Sciences or related discipline is required. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the delivery of supports to people with complex therapeutic and/or behaviour support needs is also required.

ABOUT THE ROLE…

We are excited to be building our capacity to provide specialist behaviour support and therapeutic supports with people across Victoria. To achieve this, we are building on our already established local area-based teams of Therapeutic Behaviour Support practitioners in metropolitan and regional areas across the state. As our new Practitioner in our Specialist Services division, you will be responsible for providing specialist support services to NDIS participants across the lifespan, or students in school or children in out of home care, or adults in aged care.

Given that we are building our services, committed and experienced staff who demonstrate exceptional practice during the PDP and subsequent work will be considered for future leadership roles within the local area teams or across the state.
