As a Lead Tenant - Live-In Mentor in our Inside Out program you will reside in a property alongside another Mentor/Lead Tenant and one to two young people
The young people participating in this program are aged between 16-18 years and are seeking to transition into independent living after exiting residential care. The Lead Tenant program seeks to empower young people experiencing disadvantage by giving them the tools and training to continue to lead healthy, independent and fulfilling lives.
Think of it as a housemate with intentional mentorship-building. You have the ability to assist your housemate, a young person between 16-18 years of age, develop life skills such as building and nurturing healthy relationships, making everyday lifestyle decisions, sharing household tasks and taking ownership and responsibility of maintaining a household. As a Live-In Mentor, you will model what mastering these skills look like.
You also have the support of a case manager for each young person you live with as well as frequent supervision and training opportunities to become an effective Live In Mentor.
This role is considered an ‘authorised worker’. Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of an immunisation assessment and COVID-19 Vaccination (or valid exemption) prior to commencement.
If you have any questions about the role, please get in touch with Andrew Johnstone, Program Manager on 0432 694 099.
To apply click "Apply Now" and follow the instructions.
Applications will be reviewed as they get received.
