Connect 42 is a for purpose not for profit organisation seeking a suitably qualified Chair and two skilled Board Members to join its volunteer Board.

Connect42 supports disadvantaged Tasmanians. This includes those impacted by the justice system. Its mission is to build language, literacy and prosocial communication skills so people can live whole lives in connection with others. 

Applicants with finance, fundraising and legal backgrounds who have governance experience and are passionate about literacy and social justice are strongly encouraged to apply.

Established networks in either business, philanthropy, government, justice, education or the community sector are also desirable. 

Formal governance qualifications through the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) or equivalent are essential for the Chair position. 

We encourage candidates with the relevant skills and experience to apply to support Connect 42 as General Board Members. In addition, we’d been keen to hear from individuals who are committed to working collaboratively and who are passionate about our purpose and priorities.

We know that a values and culture alignment is also important to a high-performing Board so our call out is to individuals who, like us, are driven by integrity, curiosity, and courage. 

We are looking for people with well-developed interpersonal skills who have a genuine interest in actively contributing to who we are and what we do.
