Cool Australia is shifting the culture of education by supporting students to think differently. We create online resources for parents, early learning centres and schools. Our resources switch on kids and provide educators with tools to investigate social, environmental and economic sustainability challenges. We work with value-aligned partners to bring exciting and meaningful content into classrooms across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing, and with the support of Cool Australia’s caring team of Education professionals, the Marketing Campaign Manager will be responsible for creating and project managing multiple, ongoing campaigns in support of key external partners and education campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the Cool Australia content calendar and campaign marketing output, ensuring all campaign deliverables are executed as agreed
  • Work with the Marketing, Education and Community Engagement teams to ideate and create fun, engaging, relevant content that resonates with our audience of teachers, educators and parents - always with a view to maximising engagement with our education content
  • Project manage multiple partner marketing campaigns with the help of Cool Australia’s Marketing, Education and Community Engagement leaders
  • Ensure the smooth roll-out of contracted marketing deliverables on key Cool Australia’s key channels, including email, social media and paid social
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Marketing to constantly improve and update internal marketing processes so we can spend as much time as possible on the fun stuff (making content and telling stories)
  • Act as the trusted, go-to-person for the wider Education and Community Engagement teams in order to guide, create and execute the best possible marketing programs that drive engagement with Cool Australia education resources
  • With the help of the Head of Digital Marketing, prepare campaign reports and present them to internal and external partners with confidence and clarity
  • Leverage and adapt existing and new campaigns to align with Cool Australia’s new, outcome-focused digital marketing approach
  • Get your hands dirty with Hootesuite (or whatever tool we decide is best/better), ActiveCampaign (email), Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter scheduling
  • Write content for EDM, social posts, banner ads, Instagram ads (with guidance and support from our legendary team of Education writers
  • Be willing to create, or brief others to create, engaging graphics and promotional material that aligns with both our internal brand guidelines and those of partners

You will have:

  • Either: tertiary qualifications in marketing (or related fields), or significant demonstrable experience in owning and running marketing campaigns within an agency or brand setting
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in marketing with a strong emphasis on managing and owning multiple accounts, channels and deliverables at once
  • Proven track record working as a Marketing Manager, and be familiar with using project management software (we use Wrike) to find efficiencies
  • Experience in data-driven campaign management, using reporting tools and data to analyse performance and drive future planning
  • Ability to understand, learn and maintain standards and processes for key segmentation and audience building across multiple marketing channels
  • Experience running campaigns with marketing automation software and a working knowledge of digital marketing (you will have lots of support here!)
  • Experience owning external relationships from introduction meetings, to ongoing ‘check-ins’, to campaign wrap-up meetings
  • Experience working collaboratively with other teams
  • Be an organisational ninja who leverages email, note-taking and project management best practice to keep all balls in the air
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a hunger to grow
  • The ability to get s*** done!
